Hey guys hope you are all well! Sorry it’s been a while since my last post, it’s been a rather hectic week for me. Today I’m going to be talking about the importance of consuming water as part of your diet. To get started here is a little fact for you all; a person can survive up to 4 weeks without food, but only a few days without water. This emphasises the importance of water to a human (or any living thing for that matter).
Various scientific studies have concluded that an average human living in a neutral climate needs approximately 2 litres of water a day in order to function properly. Now obviously this can vary greatly depending on the surrounding environment for example if you like in a tropical climate with temperature constantly around 30c you would need significantly more water.
Not drinking enough water or drinking contaminated water can lead to a raft of health issues such as diarrhoea, millions of people die each year around the world due to water related ailments (mainly in poor African communities). This has lead to the birth of charities such as water aid whose aim is to try a decrease the number of deaths by introducing clean drinking water to communities who need it most.
In summary then guys, you need to drink water as part of a healthy diet. And please spare a thought for those less fortunate than yourself who can’t access clean drinking water. Stay healthy guys.
